Surroundings

The guesthouse lies in the Kokořínsko Protected Landscape Area. A stone’s throw away, you’ll find pine forests, numerous sandstone cliffs forming steeples and caves, romantic valleys and rolling hills dominated by the Vrátenská rozhledna lookout tower. The Liběchovka a Pšovka streams flow through the biggest valleys, creating several natural pools on their way through the Kokořínsko area. The beauty of the surrounding nature can be explored on foot, by bike or on horseback.

The romantic countryside is dotted with log houses from the 18^th and 19^th centuries. These are typical for the region and, in some villages, are part of the conservation area. You can also start wandering through history at Kokořín Castle, which its owners chiseled from the rock in the 13^th century. In addition, since the year 2000, tourists have visited the nearby Houska Castle, where the gates of hell are allegedly located.
